Georgian government has announced an open competition to fill one vacant position on the National Communications Commission, following the upcoming expiration of Chairman Kakhi Bekauri’s term. Although Vakhtang Abashidze’s term will also end soon, the competition is being held for only one position.
Applications are open for 30 days, until November 15, 2025, and can be submitted to the Government Administration. Candidates must hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) in economics, finance, business, law, communications, or journalism, have at least 10 years of experience, including 3 years in management, and demonstrate high public trust and recognition.
Required documents include a CV, ID copy, proof of education and experience, and a signed statement acknowledging conflict-of-interest rules. The list of candidates will be published within 10 days after the deadline.
The Commission currently includes Bekauri, Abashidze, Natia Kukuladze, Ekaterine Imedadze, and Ivane Makharadze. According to asset declarations, members earn GEL 192,000 – GEL202,000 annually, or roughly GEL 16,000 per month.
