Georgia’s Municipal Development Fund has announced a GEL 2.5 million tender to prepare a rehabilitation project for the “Magnolia” residential complex located on Khimshiashvili Street in Batumi.
The procurement covers only the design phase, meaning the winning company will be responsible for developing the full rehabilitation project. The actual reconstruction works will be tendered separately once the design is completed. The project area covers approximately 15,012 square meters.
According to the Fund, the building requires both structural reinforcement and façade renovation. Officials say the current condition of the complex negatively affects living standards, as well as the urban and tourist appeal of the area, which is one of Batumi’s central coastal zones.
The “Magnolia” residential complex was originally started by the company “Center Point Adjara,” but was never completed. Applications for the design tender will be accepted until July 16.
