Today's Cabinet session, chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Government Administration, discussed 17 issues on its meeting agenda.

With a view to increasing Georgian wine's export potential, the Government has approved the State Support Program for Promoting Georgian Wine.

The State Support Program for Promoting Georgian Wine seeks to enhance Georgian wine's export potential, competitiveness, and visibility in international markets, also to diversify strategic and priority export markets.

The program will be implemented by the National Wine Agency LEPL, in coordination with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

The National Wine Agency, using assignations allocated to it, will co-finance marketing expenses only for those companies exporting to priority markets and multiple countries around the globe.

Support under the program will be provided for various marketing activities seeking to ensure entry into chain store networks, efforts designed to foster sales by franchises and special wine shops, media campaigns for enhancing sales, and advertising sales via online platforms and social networking.
