The Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) declares, that 220,705 international travelers visited Georgia in October 2021, which is 324.3% more compared to the same period in 2020 and 71.8% less than in October 2019.
At the same time, the number of international visitors has made up 205,680, which is 313.7% more compared to October 2020, and 69.1% less than in the same period of 2019.
The number of tourist visits in October was 188,751, which is 331.5% more than in October 2020, 57% less than in the same period of 2019.
“Tourism recover is gradually increasing over 10 months. Compared to 2019, in percentages decline is down in every month: January -90.4%; February -85.5%; March -84.4%; April -78.2%; May -77.3%; June -71.7%; July - 62.6%; August -67.2%; September - 61.1%; and October -57%.
In January-October 2021, 1,522,139 international travelers visited Georgia, which is -7.7% less compared to the same period of 2020, and -81% less than in the first ten months of 2019.
The number of international visitors in 10M2021 amounted to 1,393,914, which is -1.8% less compared to the same period in 2020, -79% compared to 2019.
The number of tourist visits amounted to 1,281,524 in 10M2021, which is + 27.5% more compared to the same period in 2020, and -71.1% less than in the first 10M2019.
According to preliminary data, as of September 2021, the income from international travel in Georgia amounted to USD 161,862,751 (an increase of + 933%), which is USD 146,187,024 more compared to the same period in 2020. The decrease is USD 156,770,174 compared to September 2019 (decrease -49%).
The revenue from international travel in Georgia amounted to USD 865,654,831 in 9M2021, which is USD 366,579,535 more compared to the same period of 2020 (an increase of + 73%). Compared to the same period in 2019, it is -1,717,184,741 USD less (decrease -66%)", - reads the statement of the Tourism Administration.
