The dairy producer company "Grandpa’s Farm" will complete the construction of a new enterprise by the end of the year. The company announced the project last year. Sofiko Tabatadze, co-founder of the family business, spoke to BM.GE about the news and noted that the enterprise was built in line with modern standards.
“A new farm has already been built. Its equipment has been financed within the framework of the SQIL project. The total investment in the project is approximately 2 million GEL.
We have also increased the number of livestock and expect that productivity will increase significantly. Previously, we had 60-70 heads of livestock, but now we will have 200 heads of livestock, we expect that productivity will increase by 150%. In addition, we plan to add new products to the assortment - European cheese and dairy products, although for now we are dependent on the increase in production,” Tabatadze says.
It is worth noting that the products produced by the family business are sold online, as well as through various exhibitions.
According to the founder of “Grandpa’s Farm”, since the production is equipped with machinery, the farm does not require a large number of staff. In total, the enterprise employs about 15 people.
The dairy company Grandpa’s Farm has been actively operating on the market for two years. However, it has half a century of experience in the production of dairy products. It offers consumers three types of cheese made from natural, healthy milk obtained from the farm, such as Imeretian cheese, Sulguni and mozzarella. The company also produces cottage cheese and nadughi.
