Green Energy Holding, an energy sector holding company, is preparing to launch new renewable energy projects worth USD 150 million, according to company director Giorgi Shukakidze.
Speaking to BMG, Shukakidze said the company’s portfolio includes both hydropower and wind energy projects. Among them:
- A 45-megawatt wind farm in Terjola, with an estimated investment of $60 million, is slated to begin construction in the second half of next year.
- A 15-megawatt hydropower plant in Guria, valued at $20 million, may begin construction by the end of this year, pending regulatory approvals.
Additional hydropower projects are being developed in Samtskhe-Javakheti.
“We’re currently in the feasibility stage, but we expect to start active investment from next year,” Shukakidze noted. “Our holding includes several subsidiaries working in both wind and hydro energy.”
The company plans to accelerate project implementation as soon as permitting and bureaucratic procedures are finalized.
