Honey Exports From Georgia Down By 96% This Year

Honey exports from Georgia have decreased.

According to official data from Geostat, the country sold 530 kilograms of natural honey this year, from which it received USD 5.6 thousand in revenue. While in the same period last year, Georgia sold 13 tons of honey worth USD 86.2 thousand.

These statistical data show that the country's natural honey exports decreased by 95.9%.

In 2025, Georgia sold most natural honey to Armenia in February. It should be noted that the main market for Georgian honey until 2024 was the European Union.

Leading honey exporting countries in 2021-2025 (January-February):

2024 - Azerbaijan;
2023 - France;
2022 - Bulgaria;
2021 - Bulgaria.

In addition, it should be noted that Georgia's honey exports are decreasing every year. This year's export figures have decreased dramatically.

Honey exports 2021-2025 (January-February):

2021 - $47.5 thousand, 20 tons;
2022 - $72.9 thousand, 23 tons;
2023 - $184.4 thousand, 25 tons;
2024 - $86.2 thousand, 13 tons;
2025 - $5.6 thousand, 530 kilograms.

In 2024, 33.8 tons of honey worth 271,150 USD were sold from Georgia, which was a 64.41% decrease in value and 69.4% in volume compared to 2023.
