The International Republican Institute (IRI) publishes the results new nationwide poll conducted in Georgia. The poll shows 31% of the surveyed citizens believe that the economic situation has somewhat worsened, for 30% it has worsened a lot, for 26% it has remained the same.
It is noted that only 1% of the population thinks that the economic situation in the country has improved in the last year.
On the question - how would you describe the current economic situation in your household/family, the results were distributed as follows: only 2% of the population say that it is very good; for 48% it is somewhat good, 35% say it is somewhat bad, and 16% say it is very bad. 1% of the population does not know or does not know the answer to the question.
The fieldwork was carried out by the Institute of Polling & Marketing. Data was collected throughout Georgia between September 13 and October 2, 2022, through face-to-face. computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) in respondents’ homes. The sample consisted of 1,500 permanent residents of Georgia aged 18 and older and eligible to vote. It is representative of the general population by age, gender, region and settlement size.
