According to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), as of October 19, 1,013,507 are vaccinated with at least 1 dose, which is 35.7% of the adult population of Georgia. In addition, 6,203 vaccinations were administrated in the country in the last 24 hours, of which 2/3 were the second dose of COVID- vaccine.
At present, most of the jabs are taken in the capital. According to the latest NCDC statistics, as of October 17, 501,368 people were vaccinated in Tbilisi with at least 1 dose, which is 50.1% of the adult population registered in the city.
In terms of vaccination, Adjara is in second place, where 118,095 people have been vaccinated with at least 1 dose, which is 37.5% of the registered adult population of the region.
Imereti ranks on third place, where 110,837 people have been vaccinated with at least 1 dose, which is 21% of the adult population registered in the same region.
According to the NCDC, 35.7% of the total adult population is vaccinated with at least 1 dose in the whole country, while 31.8% of adults are fully vaccinated.
