27 agricultural cooperatives benefited from milk production and beekeeping support programs between 2016-2020. Those cooperatives received a total of more than GEL 2.9 million from the state to buy processing equipment, - Agricultural and Rural Development Agency reports.
According to the regions, the funding was distributed as follows: 2 cooperatives were funded in Guria; Tbilisi - 1; Kakheti - In Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 2; Racha-Lechkhumi - 4; Samegrelo - 2; Samtskhe-Javakheti - 1 and Kvemo Kartli - 4.
Another t program, which supports beekeeping, 207 cooperatives were funded between 2015 and 2020. Including in Adjara - 2; Guria - 1; Tbilisi - 5; Imereti - 36; Kakheti - 19; Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 12; Racha-Lechkhumi - 44; Samegrelo - 19; Samtskhe-Javakheti - 49; Kvemo Kartli - 14; Shida Kartli - 6.
During the given period, 19 313 units of wood and polystyrene beehives, 49 units of honey extractor, storage tanks with a capacity of 116 400 liters were given to 207 cooperatives.
The state co-financing in this direction exceeds GEL 1.7 million.
According to the agency, this year an agreement was signed with 3 beneficiaries under the support program for dairy cooperatives, and 6 beneficiaries - within the beekeeping program.
