52 cases of delta strain have been confirmed in Georgia. Tamar Gabunia, the Deputy Minister of Health, stated this in response to a question from journalists after the end of the Coordination Council.
According to her, in order to halt the spread of the delta variant, society must exercise more caution.
"The delta strain, known as the Indian strain, has been confirmed in 52 cases. Five suspicious cases are under investigation. So far, no particularly severe cases have been identified. Although there is a risk that the delta variant may be more prevalent, and at an estimated rate, it is between 10% and 20%. Therefore, we need to be especially careful, "- said the Deputy Minister of Health.
