In 2018-2019, 11 hydropower plants were put into operation, - BM.GE requested information from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
The total installed capacity of these 11 HPPs is 98.3 mgwt, with an investment cost of 210.7 million USD.
The following HPPs commissioned for 2018-2019 are: "Kasleti HPP 2", "Bodorna HPP", "Kheori HPP", "Jonouli HPP 1", "Kirnati HPP", "Sckurdidi HPP", "Aragvi 2 HPP", "Oro HPP", "Mestiachala HPP 2" , “Mestiachala HPP 1” and “Avani HPP”.
To remind, in 2018, foreign direct investment in energy decreased by almost 57% and in Q2 of this year - by 37%.
