The Mountain Resorts Development Company of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development has completed the 2021Winter Season.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the season at the ski resorts was opened on March 8 in accordance with all the rules of the COVID-protocol. The season lasted until April 25 in the case of Gudauri, while the reason was closed from mid-April in other resorts due to natural climatic conditions.
Contactless checkpoints by SKIDATA, installed in Gudauri, Bakuriani, Mestia and Goderdzi, allow to accurately count how many visitors visited the mountain resorts.
According to the Ministry, all four resorts (Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi, Mestia) hosted 134,183 visitors during the 2021 winter season, while the number of sold tickets (all categories) amounted to 78,462.
During the 2121 season, 83,055 visitors visited Gudauri, 35,166 visitors - Bakuriani, 7,262 visitors - Goderdzi, and 8,700 visitors - Mestia (Tetnuldi, Hatsvali).
