In January-February 2023, Georgia purchased 2,209 tons of chocolate worth USD 9 million 392 thousand.
According to official statistics, the volume of chocolate imported during this period slightly decreased compared to the same period last year (2,605 tons), while the value of imports were up by 11.3%.
During this period, a major part of imported chocolate accounts for the Russian market.

4. Poland - USD 774 thousand, 188 tons;

6. Netherlands - USD 602 thousand, 105 tons;
7. Germany - USD 478 thousand, 71 tons;
8. Italy - USD 420 thousand, 111 tons;
9. Bulgaria - USD 230 thousand, 32 tons;
10. Armenia - USD 160 thousand, 23 tons;
As for exports, in 2 months of 2023, 216 tons of chocolate and other ready-made food products containing cocoa worth USD 917 thousand were exported from the country. Of which, local exports were 124 tons (USD 463 thousand), while re-export - 92 tons (USD 453 thousand).
