Online advertising is becoming more popular and demand is increased from the small companies despite the high prices on the service.

According to Nino Pertenava, the founder of the company Influencer.ge, small companies spend an average of USD 200-400 per month, while expenditures of large companies on social advertising can reach up to USD 3 thousand a month.

She notes that advertising prices were increased due to the decision made by the Georgian government last year. International technology companies were charged from October last year. BOOKING.COM, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, etc are obliged to pay 18% VAT in Georgia, even in the case, the company itself does not pay VAT.

"Last year, amendments came into force for the small businesses, which turned out to be a bigger challenge for small companies. For example, LLCs that pay VAT, they calculate this amount and it is much easier.

Despite that, more and more companies are moving to online sales, therefore, the demand is not decreasing, although the price has risen, it just puts small companies in a more difficult situation, "- said Nino Pertenava.

According to her, the highest demand is still on Facebook and Instagram, but both networks are aimed at different segments - "Instagram" focuses mainly on young people, and "Facebook" focuses on elderly segment.
