The banking sector closed 11 months with a net profit of GEL 1.97 billion, which was slightly higher than the figure of the same period last year (1.96 billion).
According to the consolidated data of 11 months, out of 14 commercial banks operating in the market, 3 banks are at a loss, among them, the Georgian subsidiary of VTB - "VTB Bank Georgia" has the biggest loss. "VTB" closed January-November with a loss of 72 million.
As for profitable banks, "TBC" leads the list - with GEL 933 million, "Bank of Georgia" is on second place with a profit of GEL 825.5 million. These two largest market players account for 89% of the profits.
