Georgian corridor handled more than 34 404 trucks in January. Toll revenues were also record-breaking, amounting to GEL 12 041 350 million in just one month, the growth amounted to 125%.
The tax increase in the budget is related to the decision of the Georgian government, as the toll fee is grown for thousands of transit trailers from June 20, so each trailer will have to pay GEL 350 instead of GEL 200. Only in a month, over 7 662 more trucks used the Georgian corridor.

According to the data of the Ministry of Economy, 32.5 million tons of cargo were transported by road through the Georgian corridor in 2022, the increase was small, totaling 0.4 million tons.
In 2022, cargo turnover in the Georgian corridor increased by 3 million tons to 47.3 tons. Among them, the amount of cargo transported by international shipments amounted to 27.9 million tons, which was 20.5% more compared to the same period of 2021 (23.2 million tons).
