Georgian Education Group is a subsidiary company of an investment holding Georgia Capital, which holds a major stake in several schools. It includes:
• British Georgian Academy Ltd (70%);
• Buckswood International School-Tbilisi (80%);
• Tbilisi Green School Ltd (80%).
According to the financial report, the company's assets amounts to GEL 110 million, while the total revenue earned in 2020 was GEL 25.8 million.
The company divides revenues by segments, namely:
• Earnings from premium pricing schools in 2020 – GEL 18.6 million;
• Earnings from middle pricing school in 2020 – GEL 4.9 million;
• Earnings from affordable pricing schools in 2020 – GEL 3.8 million GEL.
"Georgian Education Group" spent the largest financial resource on staff salaries, which amounted to GEL 13.7 million last year. In 2020, the company's net profit was GEL 3.1 million.
JSC Georgia Capital is the direct parent company of the group. The group is ultimately owned and controlled by Public Limited Liability Company (PLC) Georgia Capital (“GCAP”), a company based in the United Kingdom and listed on the London Stock Exchange.
"Currently, all three schools can accommodate a total of 2,810 students (6% of the market share in Tbilisi private schools), and the group aims to increase the capacity to 6,000 students in existing schools by 2025, and to 15,000 students through new acquisitions," the company said in a statement.
