Tbilisi City Hall is working on a new zonal hourly parking system. According to the City Hall, the parking fee still will be GEL 1, while the annual non-zonal parking fee is maintained at GEL 50. However, the pricing system for zonal-hourly parking will be changed.
The new system includes 5 tariff packages: annual unlimited parking in the zonal-hourly parking area will be GEL 800; 6 months - GEL 500, 1 month - GEL 300, one week - GEL 100 and one-day - GEL 20.
Since 2018, the company is the operator of the Tbilisi parking system and is responsible for monitoring 30,000 parking spaces throughout the city. In 2020, the company's revenue from parking was USD 5.6 million. Most likely, the new tariffs are aimed at increasing the revenue of this company.
City Park was a parking operator in the city prior to the Tbilisi Transport Company, with whom the state terminated the contract.
