The Ministry of Finance has published a budget performance report for the first 10 months of 2024. According to the document, the budget revenues amounted to GEL 21 billion, of which GEL 16.5 billion was collected from taxes, and the rest was generated from borrowing, privatization, and grants.
Tax Performance in 10M2024:
VAT - 6.25 billion GEL, 84.6% of the annual plan;
Income tax - 5.48 billion GEL, 86.4% of the annual plan;
Profit tax - 2.62 billion GEL, 97.7% of the annual plan;
Excise tax - 2.02 billion GEL, 85% of the annual plan;
Import tax - 114 million GEL, 76% of the annual plan.
As for other budget revenues, revenues from dividends amounted to GEL 353 million, while interest revenues stood at GEL 273 million, sales of goods and services made up GEL 108 million, and income from real estate rental made up GEL 27 million.
Revenue from fines amounted to GEL 147 million.
The budget received GEL 257 million from international grants, while GEL 228 million from the privatization of state property, which was 114% of the annual plan.
As for assuming liabilities, the government received GEL 1.42 billion in foreign credits in 10M2024, while GEL 1.06 billion was mobilized by taking on domestic debt.
