Tbilisi City Hall has presented a draft 2023 Tbilisi Budget to the City Council. According to the document, next year Tbilisi City Hall will spend GEL 1.44 billion, which is GEL 120 million less compared to this year.
The largest part of the City Hall's income (GEL 839 million) will be financed from taxes. In addition, the City Hall will receive a grant of 314 million from the central budget. The City Hall will receive GEL145 million income for the services and licenses provided by the municipality itself.
As for budget expenses, the salaries of employees in municipal agencies will increase by 10 million, and it will reach GEL 98 million. Funds to be spent in specific directions are distributed as follows:
● Construction of transport infrastructure - GEL 415 million, a decrease of 33 million compared to the previous year;
● Construction of infrastructure facilities, operation and strengthening/replacement of damaged buildings - GEL 224 million, a decrease of GEL 23 million compared to the previous year;
● Maintenance and improvement of the ecological condition - GEL 169 million, a decrease of 62 million compared to the previous year;
● Health care and social security - GEL 144 million;
● Promotion of the development of condominiums - GEL 39 million, a decrease of 1.4 million;
● Education - GEL 224 million, an increase of 1 million; (including financing of gardens GEL 187 million);
● Culture, sports and youth - GEL 43 million, a decrease of GEL 20 million compared to the previous year;
● City council - GEL 18.4 million, an increase of 0.7 million;
● Administration of the City Hall - GEL 28 million, an increase of 6 million.
