The funding of the Ministry of Education and Science will increase by GEL 52.2 million and exceed GEL 2 billion 30 million in the final version of the 2023 budget compared to the previous version of the project.
The additional amount will be spent in the following direction: GEL 30 million - for the financing of public schools; GEL 32 million - for setting up computer laboratories in schools.
In 2023-2024, it is planned to equip more than 700 schools with computers; GEL 2 million will be provided for the service of law enforcement officers, while the financing of inclusive education increases by GEL 3.0 million;
As a result of the tender, GEL 16.5 million will be provided for purchasing computers for first-graders.
