Martin Galstyan, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, stated during a press conference on March 12 that scenarios for ensuring Armenia's economic security amid worsening relations with Russia are under consideration.

"Our specialists actively participate in working groups where such scenarios are being discussed. However, for details on the progress of these discussions, it is more appropriate to refer to the leaders of the relevant working groups. We work in professional forums, and it is these working groups that present the conclusions," emphasized Galstyan in response to a question about possible economic consequences for Armenia in case of a worsening of Armenian-Russian relations.

Galstyan assured that all possible scenarios for ensuring Armenia's economic security are being carefully discussed.

Earlier, during a press conference on March 12, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated that Armenia would leave the Collective Security Treaty Organization if it does not clarify its position regarding its own zone of responsibility in Armenia.

BMG reported that Armenian-Russian relations are currently experiencing a crisis. Against the backdrop of growing tension in relations, Armenia informed Russia through official channels of the need to withdraw Russian border guards from the Zvartnots airport in Yerevan, which became another twist exacerbating bilateral contradictions.
