When we are forced to choose between two bad ones, of course, I will not vote for either of them, - Giorgi Gakharia, the leader of the For Georgia, told reporters after voting at the polling station.
As Gakharia noted, the 2021 local elections were the worst elections in the last 9 years.
"Unfortunately, these elections were neither fair nor free. I'm sure it was the worst election in the last 9 years. In general, if we do not think well about the role of money in the elections, if we do not think about the role of administrative resources in the elections, and if we do not think about the politically neutral public class, in general, elections may lose sense.
As for the second round, of course, I had to fulfill my civic obligation. I voted for Georgia. Today, our one mayoral and 11 majoritarian candidates have an election day and I still want to thank each and every voter for their vote," Gakharia said.
At the same time, Gakharia explained what it means when he says that he voted for Georgia.
"For Georgia means that citizens of Georgia are deprived of a choice. When two parties prove to us that the other is worse than themselves and force us to choose between bad and worse, I vote for Georgia. For Georgia means that when we are forced to choose between two bad ones, of course, I will not vote for either of them," Gakharia said.
