The Idea Collection hotel project on Melikishvili Avenue in central Tbilisi was one of the most complex developments undertaken by Gino Holding, said managing partner Nodar Giorgadze in an interview with bm.ge.
According to him, the initial investment estimate was €12 million, but the final cost rose to €23.5 million due to design changes, construction challenges, and the complexity of the site.
Giorgadze said the project was difficult because of its central location, geological conditions, and nearby historical monuments. The hotel, which was originally expected to open in the first half of 2025, will now start receiving guests at the end of May after roughly a one-year delay. It features 67 rooms and a 75-space underground parking facility.
He noted that financial return was not the main priority, emphasizing the architectural importance of the project for the area. The hotel includes a jazz bar, wellness and spa center, fitness facilities, a rooftop pool operating year-round, and other five-star amenities.
The hotel is currently in a testing phase to ensure full operational readiness before its official opening.
