Giorgi Chugoshvili, co-founder of Freebusiness.ge declares, that the new platform Freedonation.ge will also publish accounts of organizations and funds that community will finance. According to him, this is important for process transparency. Additionally, as Chugoshvili explained, everyone will have the choice of how long to finance any given democracy-promoting organization.
"We choose who we finance. If someone deviates from the path of democracy, we will no longer finance them. For example, the Public Broadcaster has deviated from its path, but we cannot choose not to finance it - here it won't be like that, this is a democratic platform where we all choose who we finance. The funded organizations must also show results, we will post their reports for transparency to see how the money was spent. Thus, people will have the choice - as long as an organization stays on the right path, I will continue financing it," - explained Giorgi Chugoshvili.
Freebusiness.ge has added a new function aimed at bringing together in one space all actors who strengthen democracy, including media, funds, and other organizations, and making it easier for society to support their activities through financial backing.
