H.E. Ilia Darchiashvili, Ambassador of Georgia to the United Kingdom, held an introductory meeting with Dame Julia Hoggett DBE, Chief Executive Officer of the London Stock Exchange.
According to the Embassy of Georgia in the United Kingdom, the meeting focused on the prospects for advancing Georgia–UK economic relations, with particular emphasis on strengthening investment and financial cooperation.
The Ambassador briefed the representatives on Georgia’s key parameters of sustainable economic development. The sides underscored the importance of jointly exploring new opportunities for cooperation. The parties discussed the importance and necessity of Georgia’s access to international capital markets, as well as the role of the London Stock Exchange in this regard, both in terms of cooperation with the Government of Georgia and engagement with the country’s private sector.
