According to the published data of the Statistical Committee, in April 2024, Armenia's consumer market experienced a 12-month deflation of 0.7%, while inflation compared to the previous month was 0.6%.
Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages in April 2024 decreased by 4.5% compared to April of the previous year, but increased by 1.4% compared to March of the current year.
In the non-food market, there was a deflation of 0.5% in April 2024 compared to April of the previous year and 0.3% compared to March 2024.
In the sector of services provided to the population, tariffs in April 2024 increased by 2.8% compared to April of the previous year and by 0.2% compared to March 2024.
For the period of January-April 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, a decrease in prices in Armenia's consumer market by 1.1% is noted.
