In addition to local brands, the largest beer producers also produce international brands of beer under license. For example, Lomisi has licenses for some brands of AB InBev and Molson Coors (Corona, Staropramen, Lowenbrau), Global Beer Georgia - Heineken, Georgian Beer Company - Carlsberg and some Molson Coors brands.
The top producers of beer also produce non-alcoholic beverages. In 2022, the value of beer production in Georgia amounted to GEL 294.7mn, while additional income from non-alcoholic beverages reached GEL 213.0mn.
During 2016-23, revenue from beer sales grew at a CAGR of 15.1%, while non-alcoholic beverages with CAGR of 19.7%. Thus, in the same
period the proportion of beer in total revenue decreased from 62.9% to 56.3%.
In 9M23 turnover of the companies increased to GEL 446mn (15.2% y/y) and is expected to reach GEL 585mn by for the full 2023 year.
