In January 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of unemployed people in Armenia decreased by 5.2% to 45.7 thousand people. This was reported by the Department of Statistics of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
According to the report, the number of unemployed people registered with employment services in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union as of the end of January 2024 was 786.1 thousand people, decreasing by 11.1% compared to the same date in 2023.
"Thus, the number of unemployed people constitutes 0.8% of the labor force. In 2023, this figure was 1%," the report says.
