The National Statistics Office of Georgia published a report. According to the survey results, the incomes of enterprises engaged in postal and courier activities amounted to 152.6 million GEL in 2022, of which, 71.2 percent comes from international postal and courier services, while 28.8 percent comes from local services.
70.7 percent of incomes of enterprises engaged in postal and courier activities belongs to the category of parcel delivery service, of which 76.2 percent comes from international services and 23.8 percent from local services.
17.8 percent of income of enterprises engaged in postal and courier activities comes from written correspondence, of which 59.6 percent are international services, while 40.4 percent are local services.
5 379.3 thousand of correspondence and 7 403.1 thousand parcels were sent by enterprises engaged in postal and courier service during 2022.
In 2022, in the enterprises engaged in postal and courier activities the average annual number of employed was 3.7 thousand, including 1 124 couriers and postman.
