Inex Group has invested in new infrastructure, opening a customs terminal and parcel sorting center near the airport to meet growing demand for deliveries, the company’s director, Giorgi Kapanadze, told TV-program Business Course.
According to Kapanadze, the project will benefit not only Inex Group but also Georgia’s wider postal and courier industry.
The new customs terminal handles parcels exclusively and serves both Inex Group’s shipments and those of other companies. The sorting center is designed to speed up processing and improve service quality.
The facility currently sorts up to 10,000 parcels per day, but its technical capacity allows it to handle up to ten times that volume.
Official data show that postal and courier companies operating in Georgia handled a combined 16.4 million parcels last year, generating total sector revenue of GEL 274 million.
