The Asian Development Bank (ADB) predicts a slight acceleration in inflation in Armenia in 2024, but nevertheless it will remain at a low level throughout the forecast period.
Due to the soft monetary policy, the average inflation is forecasted to increase to 3% in 2024 and further accelerate to 3.5% in 2025.
By the end of 2024, it is expected that inflation will be within the Central Bank's confidence interval of 2.5% to 5.5%. "The Central Bank is likely to continue its adaptive monetary policy to support economic growth, assuming that external price pressures will remain moderate," the report says.
The inflation rate is set at 4% (±1.5%) in the Armenian budget for 2024.
