The Statistical Committee of Armenia published data on the Consumer Price Index for July 2024. According to the report, annual inflation in the country's consumer market reached 1.4%, while deflation of 0.4% was recorded compared to June 2024.
In the food and non-alcoholic beverages sector, prices rose by 0.7% year-on-year, but there was a 1.3% decrease compared to the previous month. The non-food goods market showed a decline in prices both annually (by 0.5%) and compared to June 2024 (by 0.3%).
The service sector experienced an increase in tariffs by 3.1% compared to the same period last year and by 0.6% compared to June 2024. It is noteworthy that from January to July 2024, consumer prices in Armenia overall decreased by 0.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
