Health Expert Ketevan Chkhatarashvili considers, that instead of a third lockdown, it is better to tighten enforcement of COVID-regulations.

The Economic Policy Research Center and the Health Working Group disseminated a petition on how to “Prevent a Third Lockdown". The authors of the petition believe that in parallel with speeding up the vaccination process, it is important to take other measures that will give an effect this spring without shutting down the country and its economy.

According to Ketevan Chkhatarashvili, if there is a desire, the process can be planned correctly.

“Our advice would be to tighten enforcement of COVID-regulations instead of another lockdown. It is also possible to manage the flow, to control who is wearing a face mask and who does not. If there is a desire, the process can be planned correctly”, Chkhatarashvili declared.

She also stressed the importance of a public campaign to support the vaccination.

"As for the COVID-19 jab, a public campaign to support the vaccination has not been conducted in the country. Consequently, the vaccination process has started itself, but it is not too late to start the campaign today. There is an attempt to replace the state by the public, but it would be better if the state starts the campaign. The population should be provided with information about the origin of the vaccine and give answer to their legitimate questions,” Chkhatarashvili said.

BMG&ForbesHealth launched public campaign to support vaccination in Georgia - #აიცერი (which means: take the vaccines shot).

People of different professions will tell the public about the need for vaccination within the frame of the campaign. According to Giorgi Isakadze, Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Georgia and founder of BMG, we cannot save people's lives or the country's economy without vaccination.
