Interest in Georgia among Uzbek tourists is on the rise, according to Ia Gedevanishvili, founder of the travel company Check-in Travel. She told BMG that over the past three years, the company has brought around 30,000 tourists from Uzbekistan to Georgia.

According to data from the first nine months of 2025, Uzbekistan ranks among the Top 15 countries for the number of visits to Georgia, with 61,949 trips recorded, a 23% increase year-over-year.

Gedevanishvili noted that Uzbek tourists are primarily interested in seaside destinations, though interest in other regions of Georgia is also growing. “Our company has been operating in the Uzbek market for six years. Over the past three years, we have brought about 30,000 tourists from Uzbekistan to Georgia. From May to September, we operate daily charter flights to Batumi and Tbilisi, sometimes even adding extra flights to meet high demand,” she said.

According to Gedevanishvili, Check-in Travel records about 30% annual growth in demand and plans to promote Georgian winter resorts to Uzbek tourists for the first time this year. The company recently participated in a business exhibition in Tashkent, organized by the Sales Association, where it presented tourism opportunities in Georgia to the Uzbek audience.
