The Ministry of Health is giving clinics an additional deadline to comply with the regulations.

According to the December 31 decree, inpatient facilities must submit a document confirming international accreditation by May 1, 2025, while outpatient clinics will have a whole year to submit the relevant documents. For them, the deadline has been extended to December 31, 2025.

The fact is that the deadline for mandatory accreditation was January 1, 2025, however, on December 31, 2024, the GD Minister of Health announced that the agency is giving medical institutions an additional deadline to undergo international accreditation. It is worth noting that medical institutions included in the universal healthcare program that fail to pass accreditation will have to leave the program.

According to the amendments to the resolution:

"An institution providing inpatient services is obliged to submit a certificate (copy) confirming international accreditation to the Ministry by May 1, 2025.

A medical institution providing outpatient/day hospital services, as well as laboratory services, is obliged to submit a certificate (copy) confirming international accreditation/ISO certification to the Ministry no later than December 31, 2025," the document states.
