In Saburtalo, the construction of a new sports complex on the former Tennis Court site is expected to be completed by September 1, 2026, according to Davit Kopadze, director of LLC Kortebi.
The project is located at 13 Tamarashvili Street, where LLC Kortebi won a 2021 auction to develop sports infrastructure, acquiring 7,174 m² of land and the existing building under an investment obligation. Originally, the work was scheduled for completion in 2023 within two years. However, design delays due to the project’s scale and the pandemic pushed the expected completion to 2025.
Kopadze noted that various factors caused delays, including weather and complex roof construction. He also stated that the project’s investment has increased: from GEL 35 million in 2023, it now stands at GEL 40–45 million. “The problematic aspects have been overcome, and we are on track to meet the deadline,” he said.
According to the business registry, Davit Kopadze owns 67% of LLC Kortebi, while Mamuka Merkviladze holds 33%.
