Bakery company “Ipkli Digomi” is continuing to expand production and diversify its product range, according to Marketing Manager Sofio Bediashvili.

Speaking to BMG, she said the company’s growth is driven both by expansion in retail chains and the development of new product categories. She noted that rising store networks directly translate into higher production volumes.

Bediashvili highlighted the company’s focus on developing “preventive breads,” as well as its participation in global health programs, which she said supports its expansion into the bio-product segment. She added that demand for such products is increasing.

The company has also begun producing bread from ancient Georgian wheat varieties, including the “Lomtagora” strain. According to Bediashvili, the product has received exceptionally positive consumer feedback, and the company plans to further develop local wheat varieties while supporting domestic farmers and reducing reliance on imported flour.
