Irakli Kobakhidze: Georgia must become the hub for education, science and technologies in the region

“Future does belong to science, innovations, technologies and we strive to maximally involve the youth in science, researches, innovations and technologies – it is and will be one of our priorities”, - the Speaker, H.E. Irakli Kobakhidze stated at the official opening ceremony of the Science and Innovations Festival 2018”.

It is symbolic, he stated that the Festival is being held in Tbilisi State University. He underlined that the new initiatives in the direction of science, innovations and technologies will be one of the top priorities of the Government. “It is symbolic that the festival is being held in Tbilisi State University, cradling our great Georgian scientists. Future does belong to science, innovations, technologies and we strive to maximally involve the youth in science, researches, innovations and technologies – it is and will be one of our priorities. Initiation of new initiatives in these directions will be our priority and the Government has initiated to soon double the financing from the state budget to science, technologies and education”. According to the Speaker, Georgia must become the hub for education, science and technologies in the region. “We believe that Georgia must become the hub for education, science and technologies in the region. I got cognizant with the exhibition today and saw lots of talented youth we have. It is important for us to inspire our youth with science, innovations and technologies as it is the greatest perspective”. The Festival, held in TSU Block I yard will be accomplished on October 1.
