Irakli Kurashvili has been appointed as Georgia’s Ambassador to France and Permanent Representative to UNESCO.
Kurashvili’s diplomatic career spans 30 years, holding various positions.
At various times, he served as Georgia’s Ambassador to Latvia (2023-2025), Argentina (2017-2022), and the Swiss Confederation (2012-2017).
Between 2022-2023, he headed the European Integration General Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Irakli Kuraashvili holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
