The International Republican Institute (IRI) has conducted a Technical Election Assessment Mission (TEAM) during the pre-election period leading up to the October 31, 2020, national parliamentary elections.
According to the report, Georgia's elections failed to meet the new standards set by the constitutional amendments.
"Despite that, the parliamentary elections were held in compliance with the country's legislation in a peaceful environment on October 31, irregularities in the pre-election period and election day negatively affected the credibility of the entire election process. The summary protocols and the results were insufficiently transparent to meet international standards," the report said.
