"Doctor robots" adapted to the Georgian language is planned to be brought in Georgia. Irakli Sasania, co-founder of mydoc.ge told BM.GE about it.

According to Sasania, the company plans to bring robots adapted to the Georgian language for the state and the private sector. The robots will help doctors to communicate with the patients. The first robot will arrive in the country in 3 weeks.

The robot will be able to enter the hospital ward, deliver medicines to the patients and interview them with the help of a specialist.

“We smile about Robot Pepper, but it has its purpose, which we must use during the pandemic. He can examine patients and consult through telemedicine channels, remotely assess a patient's condition visually, interview, and so on. This is very important because we often hear complaints from patients that they are careless, unable to talk to doctors. We will offer the decision in this direction to the public very soon. Our company is working on the adaptation of robots in Georgia and the government will probably use them at COVID hotels and clinics. We hope that there will be interest, we want to bring several pilot models to Georgia, which will be adapted to Georgian reality. He will be able to come and visit hospital wards, see patients, deliver medicines, communicate with them with the help of the specialist,” said Irakli Sasania, co-founder of mydoc.ge.
