Tea-producing company BueTea has been on the Georgian market for several months and produces six types of tea from the tea plantations grown in Tkibuli.
As the representative of the company, Mindia Dzneladze, told BM.GE, the product is currently only available on the local market, but in the future, they plan to make exports.
"We have a diverse range of teas: black, green, herbal, with citrus, blueberry and forest berry flavors, they can be purchased in local retail chains: Goodwill, Agrohub and Europroduct.
We are planning to export the product in the near future, we were recently at the international exhibition in Berlin, where we established contacts with potential German customers, and we also have interest from Saudi Arabia," said Mindia Dzneladze.
The representative of "BueTea" also talks about the challenges and says that the main difficulty in the sales process is gaining awareness.
"Our goal is to fully cover the Georgian market, however, in this process, competition for already established brands and raising awareness is quite a big obstacle for new production," the company explains.
BueTea currently processes 5 to 7 tons of tea and employs about 30 locals, whose number is growing during the tea-picking process. The investment volume totals to USD 1 million.
