According to the European People's Party, it’s time to sanction Bidzina Ivanishvili and all those that help him destroy Georgia’s democracy.
“We cannot leave the next generation of Georgians alone in this struggle”, reads the EPP statement.
“We are abhorred by the brutal violence in Tbilisi against protesters peacefully demonstrating against the Foreign Agents Law. We also strongly condemn the beating of our UNM Georgia chairman Levan Khabeishvili by riot police. The people of Georgia deserve democracy and Europe!”, the EPP tweeted.
