The former head of the Co-Investment Fund calls the second legal dispute against him "Ivanishvili's second fabrication". The new charges were initiated by businessman Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of "Georgian Dream".
According to Bachiashvili, new charges were not unexpected for him.
"This is already the second fabrication which, by the way, Ivanishvili announced during his testimony in court that there would be additional criminal prosecution. For me, this was neither news nor unexpected.
He only says there that the Mtkvari HPP budget increased, therefore, probably Bachiashvili stole the money. There was no other evidence or any indicative document in the case. Even if I, as a director, wanted to commit any illegality, I did not have the authority with my signature to order Mtkvari HPP personally to make any decision.
Since the Bitcoin case is unpromising and will end in failure for Bidzina Ivanishvili in Strasbourg, they probably chose a strategy to better fabricate the second case and put emphasis on this case," - stated Bachiashvili.
