Job Growth in Armenia: Nearly 45,000 New Taxpayers Added Over the Year

According to Armenia's State Revenue Committee, the number of jobs subject to income tax and social contributions reached 782,832 in November 2024. This figure is 44,946, or 6.1%, higher than the same period last year.

Statistics based on income tax and social contribution filings for November 2024 indicate steady growth in formal employment across the country.

Earlier, BMG reported that the average salary in Armenia in October 2024 was $691, representing a 4.3% increase compared to October 2023 but a 1% decline compared to September.

According to the Statistical Committee, the information and communications sector led in wage levels with an average of $2,065, despite a 1.1% year-over-year decline. Meanwhile, the finance and insurance sector, with an average salary of $1,676, faced challenges, showing a sharp 17.2% drop in wages over the month.
