Georgia’s peach and nectarine export season is nearing its end, with slightly more than 1,000 tons of produce remaining for export, Deputy Agriculture Minister Lasha Dolidze said at a meeting with producers and exporters.
Despite some disruptions, the season has been successful, with both export volumes and prices considered satisfactory, Dolidze said. He stressed that further sector development should focus on improving quality and yields, replacing low-productivity varieties and renewing older orchards.
From May 1 to September 13, 2026, Georgia exported 22,800 tons of peaches and nectarines worth USD 28.1 million. The average export price was USD 1.23 per kilogram.
Russia remained the main export market, receiving 21,468 tons. Other key destinations included Armenia with 883 tons, Ukraine with 259 tons and Belarus with 178 tons.
