Independent MP Kakha Okriashvili issued a statement urging Georgian citizens to vote for pro-European parties in the upcoming October 26 elections, calling for an end to the "false dream" of the ruling party and its allies.
Okriashvili emphasized that the upcoming election will determine Georgia's future direction—whether the country will align with Europe or move away from it. He accused the "Georgian Dream" party, along with its allies such as Iago Khvichia's "Girchi," Alt-Info's "Conservative Movement," and the "Alliance of Patriots," of opposing Georgia's European aspirations.
"On October 26, it is decided whether we will be in Europe or not! It is already clear to everyone that 'Dream' and its allied satellites... are against the European future of Georgia," Okriashvili stated.
He urged voters from all sectors—teachers, healthcare workers, police officers, soldiers, and private sector employees—to support four major pro-European political forces, arguing that European integration would lead to higher wages, pensions, and incomes, similar to countries like Estonia, which have seen economic growth since joining the EU.
"You want fast business progress and the fastest growth of your incomes, don't hesitate, go to the elections, choose a pro-European political force!" Okriashvili urged.
In his appeal, Okriashvili called for the removal of "number 41," referring to the ruling party, from power, asserting that it had failed to deliver on its promises and urging citizens to reject what he called "false dream."
"Let's go to the elections on October 26, let's get rid of 'number 41' from the government with its false promises and get rid of false dream!" he concluded.
