Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said the rehabilitation of Rustaveli Avenue remains on schedule and is expected to be completed by the end of November. He said there are currently no issues that could delay the project.
Kaladze said Georgian Water and Power (GWP) is expected to complete the renewal of utility networks by around September 15. Road works, drainage systems and underground waste bins will then be installed.
The project also includes the rehabilitation of underground pedestrian crossings. Several crossings in poor condition will be demolished and replaced with new infrastructure.
Asked whether the rehabilitation would be completed by the end of November, Kaladze said: “At this stage, we have no problems.”
